Lawn care is the practice of maintaining the grass plant health and the appearance of a lawn by carrying out various actions, hopefully my analogy makes the topic more relatable for you... Having a regular trip or visit to the barber is no different than your lawn having a regular fortnightly general gardening visit, while a regular or seasonal lawn treatments could be compared to taking your daily multi-vitamins and probiotics.

This is the most basic form of lawn care you can carry out on your lawn and cutting your lawn regularly and in different directions will encourage the roots to become stronger and grow deeper if done correctly. Stronger deeper roots equals tougher and healthier plants to get through the tougher times such as wet cold winters and the hotter drought periods in summer
Seasonal lawn treatments sometimes known as weed and feeds help to control weeds and release fertilisers to improve your lawn, the generic packs that end users can buy at retail stores do work but ultimately it costs more and takes longer. Commercial grade products used by professionals when correctly chosen and used will have a great effect in a quicker time and for a longer period too.
Scarification is the removal of organic matter from within the turf profile may that be moss or dead and rotting old grass, ideally if your looking remove moss then a moss control should be applied to kill it off within the required time. There are other additional benefits to scarification such as it encourages better growth rates, allows granular fertilisers to break down more easily etc
Is the process of punching small holes into soil which relieves compaction, improves drainage, improves air circulation, nutrient uptake and soil ecology. Hollow, Solid and Fracture tines are the main types of tines that was used in lawn care with a target depth of 2-3 inches, in my opinion hollow tine aeration is only needed when your trying to change the soil profile by adding in different material for soil improvement
Is usually done to either repair damaged / bare areas of turf or too improve lawns by thickening up the grass sward which creates a more lush looking lawn while also reducing the ingress of weeds and moss. This is generally carried out using a top soil and grass seed mix and then covered with a germination fleece to help protect it from becoming bird food. I have a machine that gets it directly into the soil for better germination rates and improved seed protection
Being proactive leads to better long term results and lower lawn care costs compared to having to be reactive to issues like a leather jacket attack which is a lawn pests that eats and destroys the grass plant from the roots. I often advice on lawn issues and for the Do It Yourselfers or #Lawndads if this maybe your thing but I can also manage a fully bespoke service for you if you prefer I do suggest that you look at a time period of 12/24 months for this
Sometimes just picking up the phone and calling is the easiest way, so please feel free to during business hours
